In January 2005 , the hall was engulfed by a serious fire which sadly destroyed part of the building. A reconstruction and restoration programme is under way, but it will take three years to restore the hall completely, and cost in the region of 16 million pounds.

Losberger UK was approached by Stoke Rochford to provide a 16, 3/340 x 35 Uniflex and a P7 6,3/230 x 12m conference facility, incorporating an internal gable division for a kitchen and staff area. It will host the venue’s weddings, conferences and events until the hall is fully restored.

Our structure is positioned at the back of the building, surrounded by high walls, with no access. This presented some big logistical challenges – all the parts had to be lifted over a 2.5m wall, and as we weren’t able to use a fork-lift truck, the whole structure had to be built by hand.
